Privacy Policy

What we collect

Only what you type into the call-out form: your name, your mobile number, your suburb, the kind of plumbing problem and, if you add one, a short description. The form also records which page of this website you sent it from. We do not ask for your street address, ID number or banking details on this website.

Why we collect it

To phone you back about the plumbing problem you described and, if you go ahead, to arrange the call-out. That is the only purpose. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.

Who sees it

• The plumbing contractor who handles call-outs for this website, so that they can phone you back and attend.
• The email service that delivers the form to that contractor (Resend), which processes it only to deliver it.
• Our website host (Vercel), which runs the form.

Some of these services store data outside South Africa. Where that happens, it is with providers bound to protect it to a standard comparable to the POPI Act.

How long we keep it

For as long as is needed to deal with your request and any job that follows from it, and to keep the records the law requires for invoicing. After that it is deleted.

Your rights under POPIA

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Send that request through the call-out form with "Privacy request" in the description and we will respond. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The embedded Google map and the Google Fonts service may set their own cookies under Google's policies when the page loads.
